INEOS Styrolution, the global leader in styrenics, announces today that its Luran S 777K SPF30 grade has been selected by Changan, one of the top four Chinese automobile manufacturers headquartered in Chongqing, China, for the front grill for its newly launched LIMMAX 1.5T. 

For its new LINMAX 1.5T model, Changan had specified lasting premium high gloss appearance, enhanced UV resistance and suitability for hot stamping technology, as the key properties for its front grill. INEOS Styrolution’s Luran S 777K SPF30 has been identified as the only grade being able to meet all these requirements.    

Luran^® S is INEOS Styrolution’s acrylonitrile styrene acrylate copolymer (ASA) brand of choice for unpainted exterior applications. It offers outstanding properties for long-term use and for a high quality surface appearance. In particular, it offers weathering stability for outdoor applications even when unpainted. This selected Luran S grade’s excellent adhesion properties also make it an ideal substrate for decorative foils, such as those produced by KURZ do Brasil.
