• Newly developed Absolac^® DP29 M Q633* grade selected for use on TVS Motor’s new range of two-wheelers

INEOS Styrolution, the global leader in styrenics, announces today that its newly developed Absolac DP29 M Q633 grade has been selected by TVS Motor Company Ltd (TVS Motor) for its new range of two-wheelers, including NTorq, TVS Apache RTR, TVS Star City and TVS Jupiter. TVS Motor is the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India, with an annual production capacity of 4 million two-wheelers.

For its new range of two-wheelers, TVS Motor had specified excellent paintability, high impact strength and quality consistency, as the key properties for applications on the outer body components, including the front lamp holder, side body, battery box case and mud guards. INEOS Styrolution’s Absolac^® DP29 M Q633 had been specially developed to the specifications of TVS Motor. This grade exhibits improved surface energy and good flowability to achieve excellent paintability, without compromising on dimensional stability, hence giving a sleek and futuristic look to the two-wheeler components.

Absolac is INEOS Styrolution’s specialty acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) copolymers feature grades characterized by easy processability, highly aesthetic colorful surfaces and excellent paintability, as well as good impact strength and heat resistance. They also exhibit high adhesion strength required for electroplating, as well as good mechanical strength and chemical resistance. These grades are exclusively manufactured in India.
